The Al-Qaida spokesman announced proudly: "We announce to the general public that the Mujahideen reserve the right to deal with the six kidnapped according to Islamic law."
The Sahara desert, vast and uncontrolled desert in the world has been attracting thousands of tourists from around the world. The Touareg, (nomade tribes that patrols this vast desert in search of water and trade) have been blamed for helping The Al-Qaida branch in Africa.
The two Canadians Robert Fowler and Louis Guay were on a UN mission when in December they were kidnapped. Now, four more tourists: Two Swiss, one German and a British, were kidnapped last month near Mali.
